SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says it’s holding eight open houses across the Upper Peninsula to talk about changes in deer hunting regulations and deer management.

The Mining Journal of Marquette says the first session is Tuesday at the Holiday Inn in Sault Ste. Marie and the last one is Feb. 6 at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba. All meetings are 6-8 p.m.

The other meetings are Thursday at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, Jan. 21 at Bay College West in Iron Mountain, Jan. 23 at the Ramada Inn in Marquette, Jan. 28 at Sydney’s Restaurant in Munising, Jan. 30 at the Ottawa Sportsmen’s Club in Baraga and Feb. 4 at the Comfort Inn in Newberry.
