BOSTON (AP) - Anthony Thomas scored 16 points, had nine rebounds, five steals and five assists to lead College of Charleston to a 58-49 win over Northeastern Monday night.
The Cougars (10-8, 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association) picked up their first CAA road victory in their inaugural season.
Willis Hall, who was 4 of 4 from beyond the arc, had 14 points and 13 rebounds and Anthony Stitt added 10 points for Charleston.
Northeastern (4-13, 1-2) held a 21-19 halftime lead. Hall hit a 3-pointer to start the second half to give the Cougars the lead. Northeastern came back to tie the score at 35 with 10:51 remaining in the game. The Cougars responded with a 10-0 run to put them up 45-35 with 6:20 left. The Cougars outscored Northeastern in the second half 39-28.
Scott Eatherton led Northeastern with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
