PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Brown University professor is getting a $150,000 grant to conduct neurological research.

The Providence Journal (https://bit.ly/1aIlwlo ) reports neuroscience professor Christopher Moore is getting the money from the Brain Research Foundation in Chicago.

Moore plans to use the money to examine how neurons communicate with each other. Such research could help scientists understand diseases such as Parkinson’s and epilepsy.



Researchers from Yale and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory also received grants.
