CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A convicted felon from Parkersburg has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing 26 firearms.

Forty-six-year-old Alan Philpott entered the plea Thursday in federal court in Charleston.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says Philpott was previously convicted of manufacturing a controlled substance. Federal agents seized the guns during two searches of his home.



Philpott faces up to 10 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for May 15.
