TOGIAK, Alaska (AP) - A teenager from the village of Togiak (TOH’-gee-ak) is recovering from injuries suffered when he was struck by an all-terrain vehicle.

Alaska State Troopers say the ATV driver did not stop to assist the youth.

The 17-year-old boy was struck Sunday night.

Alice Lockuk told a village police officer her son was struck on First Avenue near the Togiak clinic.

The boy was transported to Dillingham for treatment of what troopers say were non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers are investigating.

Togiak is a community of 878 located 67 miles west of Dillingham.
