KEMMERER, Wyo. (AP) - John Stewart of Salt Lake City is wearing the yellow bib in the next-to-last leg of the Stage Stop Sled Dog Race through Wyoming.
Stewart finished first in the Big Piney/Marbleton stage on Thursday. Blayne Streeper of Fort Nelson, British Columbia finished in fourth place but still leads the race overall.
On Friday, mushers and their dogs are racing in Kemmerer and will have dinner at the Mountain View town hall.
The race will end Saturday in Evanston after covering nearly 350 miles. The overall winner will take home $100,000.
