ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis County jury has found a man who served more than 10 years in federal prison for bank robbery guilty of a string of armed robberies across the region.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (bit.ly/1fEkunZ) reports that the jury convicted Darrell Ivan Bolden after deliberating for seven hours Thursday. He was linked to the crimes by DNA found on a ski mask left at a south St. Louis County mattress store in May 2012 after getting into a fight with a store employee.
Bolden was found guilty of three counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of armed criminal action, and one attempted robbery. He mainly targeted check-cashing stores in the monthlong spree. Bolden will be sentenced in March and faces life in prison.
