STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the driver of a truck-trailer rig was injured when it flipped on its side Friday morning in Starkville.

WCBI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1g3qet0 ) the wreck happened at Mississippi Highway 182’s West Starkville exit.

Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan says the rig was hauling 21 tons - 42,000 pounds - of steel, which shifted as the driver was making a sharp turn.



The driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.
