PITTSFIELD, Maine (AP) - Police are investigating a bank robbery in the Maine town of Pittsfield.
Officials say it’s the second bank robbery in a week and third in the last month in Somerset County.
The robbery of the Bangor Savings Bank was reported around 2:45 p.m. Friday.
The Morning Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/LFs08G) that on Tuesday, a man robbed the Skowhegan Savings Bank in Bingham and another Bingham bank was robbed on Jan. 17. Authorities say in both cases the suspect was described as a man wearing a ski mask and wielding a hammer. No one has been charged in the crimes.
