GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A convicted felon with a history of violent crime and drug offenses has pleaded guilty to an illegal weapons charge.

Ryan Mountain, of Grand Forks, is charged in federal court with possession of firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. He faces a maximum penalty of life in prison.

Authorities say the 33-year-old Mountain had a 9 mm pistol and eight rounds of ammunition in a bedroom of a residence in Grand Forks.



Mountain has prior felony convictions for delivering drugs, aggravated assault and terrorizing.

Sentencing is set for April 21 in Fargo.
