ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (AP) - Air contamination forced the evacuation of three buildings at the Rock Island Arsenal in western Illinois and sent more than a dozen people to the hospital.
UnityPoint Trinity spokeswoman Erin Platt says 14 people sought treatment for non-critical symptoms like dizziness and light-headedness. She says all but one patient has been released after the Thursday incident.
Arsenal officials say they suspect an idling diesel vehicle parked near a vent may be the cause of the contamination.
Employees were sent a message Thursday afternoon and given an “all-clear.”
