FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island neighborhood is back to normal after a gas leak prompted an hour-long evacuation.
Newsday (https://bit.ly/1fX33Re ) says the leak in Farmingdale was contained around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Long Island Rail Road also had suspended service in the area as a precaution.
National Grid says emergency crews located the leak in a valve bordering a construction site.
