DURHAM, N.H. (AP) - Police in Durham, N.H., say an announcement that classes would be canceled Wednesday at the University of New Hampshire because of the snowstorm led to some disturbances and seven alcohol-related arrests.

Tuesday is usually a quiet night on campus, but police believe when students learned classes would be canceled, some of them decided to celebrate.

Foster’s Daily Democrat reports (https://bit.ly/1b4C6fM) officers were called to several disturbances and parties.
