DOVER, Del. (AP) - Police have charged a Dover man with assaulting an 83-year-old woman during a home invasion.
Twenty-four-year-old Jameson Hoxter was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery, home invasion, second-degree assault, identity theft and other offenses.
Police say Hoxter confronted the woman with a handgun in her garage on Woodcrest Drive on Sunday and forced her into the home, where a struggle ensued. That’s when police say Hoxter forced the woman into the basement and fled with her credit card, which he later used at a CVS store.
Police say the woman sustained minor injuries and is expected to recover.
