GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) - Early morning commuters are crying over spilled milk after a tanker truck overturned on a Los Angeles area freeway, backing up traffic.

City News Service reports the tanker was full of milk, which drained into storm drains.

The truck’s driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after the pre-dawn crash Wednesday near the connector road between the 2 Freeway and the 134 Freeway in Glendale.

The California Highway Patrol says the accident prompted the closure of the connector road and portions of the southbound 2.
