BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A Boulder man has been sentenced to four years in prison for killing a fellow camper.
Twenty-year-old Spencer Crawford was spared the maximum six-year prison term after the father of the victim, Steve Gaudin, asked Boulder District Court Judge Andrew Macdonald to be merciful when sentencing Crawford.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera (https://tinyurl.com/n2z5un7 ), Crawford and 17-year-old Angus Gaudin were camping outside of Nederland with a group of friends on June 19. Crawford told police both men were using drugs and alcohol when Crawford fatally stabbed Gaudin in the chest.
