HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a driver fled after striking a Suffolk County police car. The officer was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
At the time, the officer was stopped in an HOV lane while responding to another crash. Newsday (https://bit.ly/1exA1b6 ) says the police car had on its emergency lights.
It happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday on the eastbound Long Island Expressway in Holtsville.
