RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. (AP) - A Jackson County meat processing facility and country store has been destroyed by fire.
Media outlets report the fire broke out Monday at Sandy Creek Farms near the Ravenswood-Silverton exit of Interstate 77.
Owner Richard Rees says it appears the fire started in a smokehouse inside the processing plant.
Silverton assistant volunteer fire chief Steve Crow says no one was injured. Three employees escaped unharmed.
The business delivers pork, chicken beef and other pre-cooked foods to homes in Jackson County and neighboring counties.
