WOODLAND, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a body found at southern New Jersey quarry this week may be that of a man who went missing after he fell through the ice there while riding an all-terrain vehicle.
State police say divers recovered the body around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ward Sand and Materials quarry in Woodland. It was found about 250 yards from shore.
It’s believed the body may be that of Philip Raimondo, a 25-year-old Medford resident.
Authorities have said Raimondo was riding with others when the accident occurred. He was trying to cross a frozen 88-acre lake at the quarry on Sunday afternoon when he went through the ice.
