TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Three people have been injured after a vehicle crashed into a patio area outside a Tucson eatery.
Tucson police the crash involving an SUV occurred about 1 p.m. Wednesday outside the Chipotle Mexican Grill near the University of Arizona campus.
A spokesman for the Tucson Fire Department told the Arizona Daily Star that three college-age women were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the SUV drove over the curb and struck a bench. The bench then was pushed into the eatery’s front door.
It wasn’t immediately clear where the injured women were located at the time of the accident.
A picture on the Star’s website shows the SUV with front-end bumper damage.
The names of the injured and the SUV driver weren’t immediately released.
