THE DALLES, Ore. (AP) - School officials say an expulsion hearing will be held to determine whether a 13-year-old student at The Dalles Middle School will be allowed back after bringing a homemade, spring-loaded knife to school.
Principal Pat Consoliver said four students reported the weapon on Friday.
The Dalles Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1fFib6b) reported the student was taken to the Wasco County Department of Youth Services and cited for carrying a concealed weapon, menacing and disorderly conduct.
Consoliver said the student hadn’t been in trouble before and “just made a very bad decision.” A hearings officer is to determine whether the student will be allowed back.
