VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - Tyler Flack scored 13 points Tuesday as South Dakota dominated NAIA Division I Peru State College 80-40, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Casey Kasperbauer, Adam Thoseby and Tyler Larson came off the bench to score 12, 11, and 10, respectively, and South Dakota (9-13) shot 52.6 percent to just 27.3 percent for Peru State. Kasperbauer shot 4 of 7 from distance.
Peru State led briefly on jumpers by Jesse Jones and Justin Jones, but South Dakota used runs of 10-0, 7-0 and 12-0 to lead 40-15 at halftime. Eleven South Dakota players saw playing time and scored points in the first half.
The Coyotes used a 9-2 run to pull away in the second half and led 74-25 after ripping off an 18-0 run.
South Dakota shut down leading Peru State scorer Nate Bohy, who came into the game averaging 21 points.
Jesse Jones led Peru State (9-3) with 18.
