KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) - World junior champion Olga Podchufarova is set to join the Russian team at the Sochi Olympics as a replacement for Irina Starykh, who withdrew last week after discovering she failed a doping test in October.

The Russian Biathlon Union released a statement Tuesday saying it would apply to the International Olympic Committee to have Podchufarova added to the squad.

The RBU said Podchufarova would join the squad on Feb. 11.
