FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Prosecutors say a former Navy enlisted man could spend the rest of his life behind bars after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a child under 14.
The Fresno Bee reported Monday (https://bit.ly/MWAda3 ) that the Kings County District Attorney’s Office said Jeremy Dale McMurry will be sentenced Feb. 28 to 105 years to life in prison.
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty last week to charges including forcing a child under 14 to perform a sex act and aggravated sexual assault.
In a second case, McMurry pleaded guilty to contacting a minor with the intent to commit rape by force, and possession of child pornography.
The cases started in June 2011 when the mother of a victim saw an incriminating email and called authorities.
