WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say five people were hurt when to SUV collided at an intersection.
It happened about 7:50 p.m. Monday on East 2nd and N. Orange Streets. Police say 34-year-old Jamal Whittlesey of New Castle drove through a red light and hit the passenger side of an SUV.
Officers say the collision pushed the SUV on its side, trapping the driver, 27-year-old Ashley Selby of Newark, and her four passengers.
Selby and the passengers, including a 1-year-old boy, were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
Whittlesey was charged with disregard traffic control device and driving while suspended/revoked.
