Lafayette Police, investigating a trespassing complaint, arrested 28-year-old Christopher Horton and 36-year-old Joshua Folks at 11 a.m. Tuesday. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Traci Landry tells The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1gKdmeN ) the men surrendered without a fight.
Authorities had considered the men extremely dangerous. The men were noticed missing from the parish jail early Monday.
Horton, of Bayou Vista, was in jail for second-degree murder and arson, while Folks, of Franklin, was serving a sentence for theft and aggravated escape. Authorities say they’ll also face charges of simple escape and criminal damage to property.
