ABILENE, Texas (AP) - Testimony continues in the trial of a West Texas woman accused of her daughter’s death by malnutrition and neglect.

A Taylor County jury begins hearing a second week of evidence Monday in the trial of Tiffany Klapheke (klah-PEEK’) in the August 2012 death of 22-month-old daughter Tamryn Klapheke.

The 23-year-old woman is charged with injury to a child in the August 2012 death by malnutrition and dehydration.

If convicted, she could receive a life sentence.

On Friday, Klapheke grew hysterical as prosecutors began displaying autopsy photos of the child for the jury. That prompted an interruption in the Abilene trial until Klapheke could compose herself. From that point, the photos were shielded from her view.
