WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Several school districts and state offices in New Castle County are closing ahead of a snowstorm.

The National Weather Service is predicting that rain will turn into snow on Monday morning, with 4 inches to 6 inches of snow possible in northern New Castle County. A winter storm warning is in effect until 5 p.m.

Several school districts closed for the day in anticipation of the storm. State officials say non-essential employees who live or work in New Castle County are not to report to work.

The Delaware Department of Transportation says crews are reporting early Monday to prepare for the storm.
