ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police have announced that an Albuquerque officer active in the city’s Vietnamese community has died.

Albuquerque police said officer Kiet Truong (KEY’-eht TRU’-ong) died in his sleep Saturday night.

Officials say he had been suffering from an undisclosed illness.



Truong was known as an active member of the city’s Vietnamese community and an active Buddhist.

Funeral arraignments have not been announced.
