OGDEN, Utah (AP) - Authorities say an Ogden woman escaped a house fire with help from her son.

The Deseret News (https://bit.ly/1kE8LJt ) reports the son who lived nearby arrived at the home around 7 p.m. Sunday and found the kitchen fully engulfed in flames.

Fire officials say he entered the home through another door, found his mother and helped her out.



Damage is estimated at $25,000.

Officials say the woman was not seriously injured, but was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
