CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Nominations are being sought for the 2014 Governor’s Arts Awards.

The deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 21.

The Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts are accepting nominations in five categories. The categories are education, distinguished service, leadership in the arts and artist of the year and lifetime achievement.



West Virginians can nominate individual artists, organizations and communities.

The awards will be presented in the spring during a ceremony at the Culture Center in Charleston.
