JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - The first ski museum in Jackson is set to open soon.

The Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club plans to open the museum at the Snow King Sports and Events Center in Jackson.

The museum will feature photos, timelines and captions that tell the rich history of Jackson Hole skiing, including Olympic memorabilia.

Ski club director Carrie Boynton decided to create the museum after receiving an anonymous donation in November 2012.

Boynton tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide (https://bit.ly/1cqr5mC ) that the museum serves as an inspiration to current and future ski club members.
