WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) - Oregon State Police say two young men and a 14-year-old boy were cited and released after troopers found them playing a war game with replica rifles onside the perimeter fence of a juvenile correction center.
Police say the MacLaren Youth Correction Facility near Woodburn was briefly locked down as a precaution Monday afternoon after staffers reported seeing a masked man in dark clothing carrying a rifle just outside the facility’s perimeter fence.
Troopers found a 19-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and the younger teen. Investigators determined the three were on Oregon Youth Authority property outside the perimeter fence playing a war game with replica rifles that fire pellets.
They were cited for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
