MILWAUKEE (AP) - A 16-year-old boy has pleaded not guilty in the killing of a Milwaukee club promoter during a burglary.

Melvin Jones is charged as an adult with first-degree reckless homicide and burglary in the Nov. 16 death of 27-year-old Christopher Gray.

According to the complaint, Gray arrived at his home while Jones and an accomplice were ransacking the residence and was attacked by the two.



The complaint alleges Jones and 22-year-old Jonathan Oliver Sellers chased Gray to an alley, where Jones struck him multiple times with a hammer.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (https://bit.ly/OLCZjg ) reports Sellers is charged with burglary. Gray was a Milwaukee club promoter known as Caly Kris.
