JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - Two men pulled from a fatal fire at a Jackson apartment house have been identified.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports (https://bit.ly/1fOWdhw ) Friday that a preliminary autopsy shows 59-year-old Terry Landers died of smoke inhalation. An autopsy has not yet been performed on the body of 58-year-old Samuel Salo.

Firefighters pulled both men from the burning house Thursday, but they were pronounced dead at the scene.



The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Three people escaped the blaze, including a woman who jumped from a second-floor window.

The house was separated into three apartments.
