NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Transit service between New York City and Newark has been suspended because Amtrak’s Portal Bridge is stuck in the open position.

NJ Transit says its MidTown Direct line is being diverted to Hoboken.

Train passes are being cross-honored for customers who want to take PATH trains to New York form Hoboken and Newark, and for NJ Transit buses to New York.
