AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Rebekah Van Dijk had 21 points and 16 rebounds and Nazareth beat Lipan 57-41 in the Class 1A Division II semifinals Friday night as the Swiftettes chase their 19th state championship.

Mackenzie Gerber added 16 points for Nazareth (35-2), which advanced to its first title game since its last championship in 2007.

Nazareth outscored Lipan 37-17 in the second half and dominated rebounding 52-22 even while committing 30 turnovers. Van Dijk, who is 6-foot-4 and has signed with Texas-Arlington, was 8 of 17 shooting.



Lanie Roberts scored 18 points to lead Lipan (36-2), which lost in the championship game for the state’s smallest schools in 2012. Lipan shot just 26 percent.
