BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A jury has convicted two teenagers of murdering a Buffalo cab driver last year.

Seventeen-year-old Sean Austin and Maurice Howie, both of Buffalo, were convicted on Friday during a third day of deliberations in state Supreme Court.

Authorities say they killed 55-year-old Mazen Abdallah, whose body was found inside his cab last March. He’d been shot twice in the head and robbed of his wallet and phone.

Police say Austin and Howie were part of a group that had been targeting cab drivers and delivery drivers for robbery. Both were found guilty of multiple counts of robbery, as well as second-degree murder. They face up to life in prison when they’re sentenced in May.

Two other suspects are charged with robbery in other crimes and will stand trial in April.
