ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Rochester have released the names of two women and a man who were found shot to death in a home in the city earlier this week.
Authorities say the bodies of 21-year-old Jermeliah Simmons, 24-year-old Jacquelyn Simmons and 24-year-old Michael Nelson were found in the women’s upstairs apartment on Chili Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Monday. The two women were cousins.
Police have released few details of the shootings, but officials say there’s no threat to the community.
A vigil was held Wednesday night near the scene of the killings. The mothers of the two women were among those who attended.
