HUNTSVILLE, Mo. (AP) - The second-degree murder trial for a former St. Louis police officer accused of killing a northeast Missouri man has been moved for the second time.
The April 7-11 jury trial of Glenn Head will be held in Randolph County.
Head is charged in the December 2012 shooting of his neighbor, 67-year-old William Bacon. Authorities say Bacon was killed during an altercation on his land near Novelty in Knox County. Head has pleaded innocent.
The case was transferred from Knox County to Clark County in May 2013. The change to Randolph County was approved earlier this month.
The Moberly Monitor-Index reports (https://bit.ly/1bOYdqo ) Judge Gary L.?Dial’s office said Tuesday the case was moved because of publicity in Clark County.
Head was a St. Louis officer from 1977 to 1988.
