ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. (AP) - A 12-year-old boy was taken to a hospital after being pulled from a swimming pool at a St. Louis Park middle school.

The boy had been swimming in the pool during a physical education class Thursday morning.

School and city officials say a teacher found the student “in distress” in the pool at the end of class. The teacher immediately began CPR on the student



St. Louis Park police and fire responders continued CPR until paramedics arrived.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1fXG71x ) reports the boy is at Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul. No information about his condition was released.
