PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man is accused in a fatal shooting during a gun sale that turned into a cocaine robbery in north Phoenix.

Bond was set at $750,000 Thursday at the initial court appearance for 38-year-old Jamaude Williamson.

He was arrested Wednesday in Tempe as a suspect in the Dec. 22 shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

Authorities say Williamson went to an apartment complex to allegedly sell a handgun to the victims and buy drugs.

As one of the victim’s inspected the weapon, a fight erupted for control of the handgun and authorities say Williamson opened fire.

Williamson fled with an unknown amount of packaged cocaine the victims had been attempting to sell.

Williamson has a March 7 preliminary hearing and doesn’t have an attorney yet.
