INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A judge has reduced the bond for a man accusing of shooting his ex-wife outside an Indianapolis day care center.
Marion Superior Court Judge Grant Hawkins on Thursday lowered the bond for 33-year-old Christopher Justice of Indianapolis to $25,000 but added other conditions for his release including surrendering all guns in his possession and his passport and submitting to GPS monitoring. After meeting those conditions, Justice could be released with $2,500 in cash.
Justice’s bond had been $100,000 but Hawkins said $25,000 was in line with bonds for other defendants accused of similar crimes.
Justice is accused of shooting his ex-wife, 31-year-old Shirley Justice, several times Feb. 18 moments after she dropped off her two children at the day care center.
It’s not clear if Christopher Justice has an attorney.
