LONGMONT, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 34-year-old Longmont man died after his vehicle crashed into a warehouse, and two teenage passengers couldn’t save him when a major fire erupted.

Longmont Police Cmdr. Jeff Satur says the 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl escaped unharmed after the crash Wednesday afternoon.

Satur says he believes the the driver was their father. The teens tried to pull him from the vehicle but were thwarted by the flames and smoke.

No names have been released.

The teens told police the man may have had a seizure. Satur says the vehicle stopped at an intersection and then accelerated into the warehouse.

News photos and helicopter video showed heavy smoke and flames engulfing the 32,000-square-foot metal building.

No other injuries were reported.
