WOODBURY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a New Jersey man has died and six people are injured after a multi-vehicle crash on the Thruway in the Hudson Valley.

The state police Thruway detail says the crash occurred around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 87 in Woodbury, 45 miles north of New York City. Troopers say the crash involved a Thruway Authority plow truck, a tractor-trailer and four cars.

Troopers say 53-year-old Mark Becker of Hillsdale, N.J., was killed. Injuries to six other people aren’t considered life-threatening.

The crash blocked both northbound lanes, but one was reopened by late afternoon.

Details about the crash haven’t been released because the investigation is incomplete.
