SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - First an SUV loaded with furniture and electronics stolen from a thrift store got stuck in the mud at the scene. Then a concerned citizen reported two suspicious men at a nearby business.

Caddo Parish sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says detectives matched up muddy footprints from both places.

She says 49-year-old John Patterson of Vivian and 61-year-old Michael Anderson of Shreveport were booked Wednesday with simple burglary of the store, called Lots of Treasures.

Online booking information Wednesday afternoon showed them both in the Caddo Parish Corrections Center, with no bond yet set.

It was not clear whether they had attorneys.

Chadwick says Lots of Treasures was broken into about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, and the tipster called about two hours later.
