Minnesota Zoo offers ‘worst winter ever’ special

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota’s horrible winter is prompting the Minnesota Zoo to offer a “Worst Winter Ever” special.

The zoo is offering individual visitors - children, adults and seniors - a $10 admission fee from this Wednesday through Friday. That’s $8 off the adult regular admission price.

Visitors can escape the harsh outdoors temperatures with a walk along the zoo’s Tropics Trail or catch an indoor bird show.

While at the zoo, visitors are encouraged to take photos and tweet them to @mnzoo using the hashtag #worstwinterever.

The Worst Winter Ever special is not valid with other discounts or promotions. Parking fees are not included.
