BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (AP) - A 33-year-old McComb man will serve more than a year in prison after pleading guilty to charges of abusing a vulnerable adult.
The attorney general’s office says in a news release that Bryan Harris was sentenced Monday in Lincoln County Circuit Court. Harris was sentenced to three years, with one year and one day to serve in prison followed by one year and 364 days of supervised probation.
The indictment says Harris was employed on the staff of the Mississippi Adolescence Center in Brookhaven. The attorney general’s office say an investigation revealed that Harris struck the 16-year-old resident of the facility with a shoe, causing injury.
