HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu Community College says its accrediting agency reaffirmed its accreditation this month.
The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges at the Western Association of Schools and Colleges also removed the school’s warning status.
Honolulu Community College said in a statement Tuesday it must submit a follow-up report to the commission by Oct. 15.
Chancellor Erika Lacro says the school is extremely happy about the commission’s decision to remove its warning status. She says the entire community was involved in addressing the commission’s recommendations.
She says the school will continue its efforts to help students earn degrees and certificates.
