BERNADOTTE, Ill. (AP) - Rescue crews say they’ve suspended their search for a man whose boat likely capsized in western Illinois flood waters along the Spoon River.

WGIL Radio reports (https://bit.ly/1mBSy8z0 ) the man was last seen Monday evening in Bernadotte (BURN’-uh-daht), in Fulton County.

Authorities say 66-year-old Floyd Belless was trying to reach a flooding home when his boat capsized.

Divers searched the water Monday and Tuesday, but the search was called off Tuesday afternoon. Neither Belless nor his boat have been found.

Bernadotte is about 40 miles southwest of Peoria.
